Key facts
- Brides and venue planners usually choose an A/C restroom trailer or flushable units with sinks.
- East Texas barn and ranch venues often have no restroom capacity for 100+ guests.
- Trailers need a hose and a 20-amp outlet; flushable units need nothing.
- Spring (azalea season) and October book out first — reserve 4–8 weeks ahead.
What restroom setup does a wedding need?
For 100 guests over 5 hours with a bar, choose one two-stall restroom trailer, or three flushable units with sinks plus one standard unit. Add an accessible unit for older relatives. Set everything the Friday before, so the photographer never catches a delivery truck in the background.

| Guests | Bar | Trailer option | Flushable option |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | No | 1 trailer | 2 flushable |
| 100 | Yes | 1 trailer | 3 flushable + 1 standard |
| 150 | Yes | 1 trailer + 2 flushable | 4 flushable + 2 standard |
| 250 | Yes | 2 trailers | Call dispatch |
Trailer or flushable units at a barn venue?
Choose a trailer when the venue has a hose bib and a 20-amp outlet within 50 feet and you want air conditioning in a June heat. Choose flushable units when the venue is a pasture, a lake lot or a barn without power. Flushable units also fit where a trailer can't back in under the pines.
“The luxury one? The one that has air condition and everything?”
When should we book wedding restrooms?
Four to eight weeks ahead for spring and October weekends, when Tyler's azalea and rose seasons fill every venue. Book the date as soon as the venue is signed — date changes are free before delivery, and a fully booked trailer can't be added later at any price.

Questions callers asked us
How much is a restroom trailer with air conditioning?
A two-stall air-conditioned restroom trailer runs about $1,500–$2,500 per weekend in Tyler, including delivery, setup, restocking and pickup. The site needs a garden hose and a 20-amp, 110-volt outlet within 50 feet. Trailers sell out weeks ahead in spring and fall wedding season.
How much is a flushable porta potty?
A flushable porta potty with a sink inside runs about $449–$500 per event in Tyler, including delivery, setup and removal. You get a foot-pump flush, a fresh-water sink and a toilet lid that hides the tank — or as one dispatcher put it, “you're not staring at nobody else's business.”
What does a restroom trailer need to run?
A restroom trailer needs a garden-hose water connection, a 20-amp, 110-volt outlet within about 50 feet, and level ground the truck can back onto. Air conditioning runs off that outlet. If the venue has no water, we add a fresh-water tank for a fee quoted up front.
The restroom trailer I wanted is booked. What now?
Book trailers 4–8 weeks ahead in spring and fall. If yours is sold out, a flushable unit with a sink plus a hand-washing station covers most guests at a fraction of the cost. A commercial building owner in our log needed a trailer two days out and got the answer every trailer company gives in September: fully booked.
Do I need a wheelchair-accessible porta potty?
If your event is open to the public, plan at least 5% of units in each cluster as accessible, minimum one, under the 2010 ADA Standards §213.2. For private parties, add one whenever a guest uses a wheelchair or walker. A race organizer in our log planned 12 standard and 2 accessible units — one accessible unit at each restroom cluster.
How far ahead should I book?
Book 1–2 business days ahead for a jobsite unit, 1–2 weeks ahead for a weekend party, and 3–6 weeks ahead for weddings, races and festivals. Book 7–10 days ahead for Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Air-conditioned restroom trailers sell out first, so reserve those 4–8 weeks out.
